X7 Verify quality bad

Here's a part verified at 8 WITHOUT accurate zoom. Took about 5 sec. to load and 10sec. to verify. Part is approx 4 by 6.

Well now that make sense. I have a 100,00kb + file that just blew up MC when I tried to very it at 8 factor.

90% surfacing and high speed toolpaths everywhere.

Wish this was the case on my machine. Verify takes 20-30 seconds just to activte the play button on a very simple 2 tool program, it also crashes about 25% of the time. Because of the new verify, what took me 6 hours in X6 now takes 8 in X7.

My machine is a Dell Precision M4700 16GB ram and Quadro 2000

What xml file is everyone talking about? I've been through every directory in "my mcamx7" and don't have one xml file.

C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Documents\my mcamx7\MastercamSimulatorDefaults.xml

Open it and edit with notepad.

Well that is simply amazing. I just set my Precision Factor to 8. I just drill 10 holes and faced one pass on a 12.00 x 16.00 x 2.50 stock 5 minutes ago and loaded it into verify with verify initially being closed and it is still loading. My memory is maxed out at 22.4 Gigs. Now it just finished loading after about 10 minutes and it's taking about 20 seconds to drill each hole. I can't take it anymore. Just closed verify before my PC blew up. I am running a Quadro 6000 with the same driver version as you GoetzInd. I don't know why there is such a huge difference.

<FastRendering>true</FastRendering> is what yours is set to. That is turbo mode which is set by default. It definitely is way faster in turbo. I don't use that because on the larger parts that I do the visual quality is pretty bad but for smaller parts it works great. I am sure that's the difference I'm seeing.

It was very good for 2D work. Unfortunately for me it is not that great for the 3D "kellering". That is pretty much all I do. When we get a Front End for UVBS it will be easy to adjust the settings dependent on the type of work you are doing and we won't have to bother with the XML editing. I hope! If I was doing all 2D I would have mine set like the post above. Having the Precision Index set at 5 or lower makes new file load times much faster. I think I am going to set mine to 3 and adjust once the file is loaded if need be.

Hello,

I have one more question about the new Veryfy:

With the options of the simulation i can also set the tolerances.

But when i close and start Mastercam the tolerances are the old one.

The first Toleranz is allways 0.1524 and the STL is allways 0.0254.

And the Simulations-Engine ist allways 3-axis but i want allways 5-axis:

Where i can find the default settings, that i can change this?

In the MastercamSimulatorDefaults.xml File i don´t find this settings?

Sincerly

Wox,

verify selected operations

verify tab

compare

select options button in the compare box

set to .075 for metric

press ok

after you change from 3 to 5 axis in the

file tab

options

then save to defaults

verify the correct path, close it and when it opens make sure it is the default file you just saved to.

I hope this helps

We are currently working on the area of rendered quality after a verify session on different sized parts. If anyone has any sample parts that they can send ([email protected]) we will use them as part of our testing effort. We try to anticipate what we expect to encounter, but there is no substitute for customer parts. All parts will be used internally only and will not be distributed. Thank You Very Much
