Dale,

If on a lathe make sure you have not picked a boring bar that is too big for the hole (I know this sounds simple but it has been done before), check your lead out and adjust the angle and length, turn on reference points and set the values to give the clearance move you need. Any of these could solve the problem. You could also add a chain, make the chain a point that is clear of the hole and put it after the boring chain.

If not on a lathe disregard the above information.

Phil

I am having trouble with a boring bar that when it comes out of the a hole & not crashing into the other side of the wall. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Well, just off the top of my head I'd say taht you have your clearance, retract, whatever, is set to incremental instead of absolute.

It sure sounds like its doing an X,Y before its coming out of the bore.
