Lathe WCS X6

We have just purchased a lathe licence to add to several seats of Mill, and I have a little problem with WCS in the stock setup section.

When I start a lathe program the stock setup and safety zone both come in set as TOP. I would like them both to come in as LATHE Z = WORLD Z.

What do I need to adjust to get this to work. I have set it in my control file, and when I open that, it is set correctly. When I start a program sesion it always comes in set as TOP.

1. Start by picking your Lathe under Machine Type, then under Settings, open your Machine Definition Manager. Click the "Machine Parameters" Icon, click the "Cplane, WCS, HTC/VTL" tab, and you will see the "+D+Z" that you are wanting. I hope this helps.

It's just not sticking. Open my control file and it's set up right.. Open my machine manager and that is also setup right, but everytime I start a new file it all reverts back to TOP..

Go to the bottom of the screen. Click on the Planes button

Past half way you will see a : Lathe Radius and a Lathe DIameter

PIck the Dia one and a side menu shows up. Pick the top one that says +D, +Z

 

Note that geometry creation changes. D is the diameter for X travel. For 1" dia from center line you only need to draw .500 above the center line.

Play with it a moment and measure it you will see what Im saying.

Also make sure the red arrow of control is in the correct machine group. it will not stick until you are in the lathe group. If you swtich back and forth then you will see the things changed based off or your machine settings.
