I do a lot of engineering changes.

 

sometime my file is surfaces or solids

 

Is there a way to select a pile of tool paths and then select geometry

for all of them at the same time rather then individually?

 

If there isn't, could this be added as an enhancement request?

 

large files take for ever to drag and drop geo, sometimes 10 to 15 seconds per

drag and drop. I do this up to 100 times a day.

Rickstrap, is this what you're looking for?

 

Select your toolpaths, then click this icon in the ops manager. That will leave only toolpath geometry visible.

I think MC will never have an easy option for this.

It would save so much time, that I can only hope they will add

this functionality someday soon and not eventually.

this box should be for geometry that is select too....

 

"replace all for selected tool paths"

 

Or select all the tool paths you want and when selecting geometry

have an option to add or replace all geometry selected, to selected tool paths.

we used to be able to do this, sort of, before version X. Back when we had the "import operations" selection from the RMB inside the toopath parameters (where you would select a tool). You could export a bunch of ops. create a toolpath, select your geometry, right click and hit import operations, all the toolpaths would be imported associated to the geometry you selected. do a mass regen and you were done.

 

while you had to jump through a few hoops it worked well, and it took less than 60 seconds to edit the geometry for as many toolpaths as you wanted.

 

This is a function that was more commonly used for applying a set of toolpaths to multiple locations, a simple example would be spot drill, tap drill, and tap. Where you could select all the points, then pick your set of operations, and you were done.

Mark, not display, replace or add geometry to more then one path at a time.
