Stock model/Verify question

Hey Guys,

Remember when we had the option of picking what stock to keep in previous versions of MC is there away to do this in X7?

I have a part and I'm cutting it out now I have two pieces and I want one gone so I can verify with out collisions, I have this issue using stock model and verify.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Greg

Thanks, I totally missed those buttons.

Any ideas about cutting cross sections through the part, obviously the view button but sometimes the cross section I need is not on a center line.

In X6 there was the scissors button for creating cross sections what do they have in X7 other then the view button?

What I've done so far for a work around is zoom into the area I want the cross section to be and make the part I want gone off the screen then I press the accurate zoom button then pan out and rotate and the rest of the material is gone and I can see certain features that I couldn't before, it's not perfect but it works for the most part.

Greg J, we have reworked the sectioning tool so that it will find the center of gravity of your part to place the sections so that if its not on centerline, you will be fine, these tools will come in the next release however.

Kenneth I am not familiar with the term "center of gravity" within Mastercam. Could you please explain? I am really missing being able to cross section the part where I specifically need it and be able to take measurements.
