EZTRACK POST FIX, HELP

Question:

 

How do you go about changing the EZTRACK post from generating ramp in moves in the Z axis for doing lettering and pockets.

Nice safe 1st tread for yourself. you need to decribe your situation a little better,sound like it may not be the post causing ramp in Z. how are you setting up the Z parameters for entering the part?.

I am turning the comp to off and not checking the lead in/out box. This has been working for the FANUC Robodrills. Back plot looks great and so does verify. This problem also ocures in pocket. Any ideas?

when you say ramp do you mean feeding to depth straight down in Z or ramp in Z,X or Z,Y move to depth?

Making a zx or zy move when I only want it to move in z straight down, preferably not into the part in rapid though.

I think you are using an older post. If you look in the post for:

tlchng_aft : 2

rpd_typ_v7 : 1

 

Older posts need the initial xy move out put from ptlchg sometimes. Seems like pocket toolpaths in V7 did not go through ptlchg0 btween passes also.

Im seeing the same thing in my V9 post. Contour toolpathing a rectangle Depth -1.00 with no comp or leadin. I normally dont encounter this because our EZ Traks are only 2 axis, but configuring it for 3 axis I get the results described.

 

The post says it uses the V9 executable, but does have the "rpd_typ_v7 : 1 " line as you say.
