Mastercam X8 Beta 2 Available for testing

Crickets???

 

This issue is important to me. I would really like to be able to use X8. I love the way the new solids look in the beta 2.

 

Is there something I am overlooking causing my system to drag?

 

X7 works flawlessly... less than a second to save a file and video is instantaneous on solid creation shading. Unfortunately I have been forced to go back to using it to do any actual work ATM because it takes so long to save and re-gen solids.

 

Any feedback would be helpful.

 

 

 

This is something to do with your system, not X8

File save on my home system is virtually instantaneous.

At work very large files save over the network in reasonable time.

I'd check System Config and see where your temp file is going.

By default it goes to your user folder... maybe try changing it to some other

folder??

ok that prompted me to look in the files page and I unchecked the save bitmap and that cures the long wait to save.
