O/T Mastercam for Palm Pilot 0s

just bought thr palm pilot zire71.

I wish there was a light version of Mastercam for palm.it could be cool.

I just found on the net a compant that sell a dnc for palm.I found it usefull but you must buy a cable that will connect the palm to the rs232.

I hate the rs232.i have no idea why pepole still use this protocol,i mean if insted of rs232 i had a network adapter or even infrared it could give us easier life.Is there an "rs232 to infrared"?

Well regarding the old times there were Cad -Cam

systems on Apple][ and Autocad worked on Ibm AT

but who will now write progs on palm ?

I `ll better buy laptop .

 

Nevertheless the idea is not bad.

You can find may be some primitive designing program and use point coordinates and text editor to write cnc code !

I've seen some cad proggies for my iPac, but haven't been able to get them to work. If you find one that's PPC2k2 compatable, lemme know..

Hell I can just see me in the bathroom now with the freaking palm doing programs. I get enough from the wife now just see me driving down the road working on a post or my HTML set-up sheet problem on a Palm.

Have you looked at PocketCad 4, that is what I have been using for the last year. I find all the PPC versions of CAD to be a bit on the fiddly side. Mine is running on a HP Jornada with PPC2002.
