O/T Dumb Windows Question

When I open a File Get dialog box, it opens

in "List" mode. Can anyone tell me how to get it

to open in "Details" mode ??? TIA

go to tools at the top of explorer tool bar select folder options then view tab and then select like current folder option and this will set it for you.. make sure your current folders are being displayed as u want them before u choose this selection...

g-code, if you're talking about normal Windows dialogs, not MC, then set your folder options to display details, assign to all windows, and it should put your dialogs that way too.

 

BTW, what OS version?

Windows XP FileGet's would be this:

My OS is Win2K. Clicking Details in the dropdown box will change things to details for that session, but I want File Get to open on "deatils"

by defualt and stay that way for every folder in my machine.

I get details in Explorer, I don't in File Get boxes. I've got Mastercam set to Standard Windows

with the CNC Regedit utility. All file get

boxes default to list no matter what I do.

I'm running a really good file utility called

Power Desk and I guess there is a conflict somewhere.

Gcode i have seen stragne thing happed runnign utlites like that and I have always tried to stay away from anything that effect placement and direction of files on my computer. I have also found that a virus program will soetime keep your windows from begin able ot allow thing like to be done seems strange but like a virus block check or soemthing.

that`s because a lot of viruses replace or change explorer.exe - the main windows shell , responsible for such things
