CUSTOM BACK SPOT FACE TOOL

How do you draw a custom back spotface tool so it verify correctly. I have attached a image of what I'm trying to do. Wen I draw half the tool it backplots it like a keycuttter not a offset tool.

I don't think your gonna get what your looking for, because when you draw half the tool mastercam creates a revolve operation. that's

why your tool looks like a keycutter.

GIZMO 21 is right, tools in mill are shown as rotating no matter what, we do back spotfacing all the time and you can't verify it.

What I have done is create a custom tool, then using a custom drill cycle.  In the linking parameters I have the clearance plane, retract plane and top of stock set lower than the finish depth.  Then when you run verify in MCAM it will start the tool inside the part.  Then in the custom parameters of the drilling cycle I input the actual Rapid and clearance planes, along with the other info needed.  That way I can get the output I want, and I can also run verify.
