Solid chaining issues

I have 4 diameters that were cut with a ramp contour, I need to reverse the chains but 1 will not reverse. This is my biggest issue with solids chaining is that no matter how many chains you have it only shows 1 chain in the chain manager so i can't reselect 1 chain i have to reselect them all.

double click the blue s icon in the chain manager to get a dropdown to get the individual chains

wow, i can't believe that has never come up before. Thanks Brando. it would be nice if there were a little plus sign like in the op manager to show there are multiple chains.

My solid chaining issue is when I want to do one continuous chain over several 3D faces, in 2D. For example, when I want to do a rough contour shape for a mold but I can't do it from a solid--I have to create a silhouette boundary to get a 2d chain. Would be nice to select multiple faces and be able to project to plane for a contour toolpath.

In NX face edges will project to a plane and be automatically extended or trimmed to create a continuous boundary. You can also apply separate thicknesses or feed rates per element. And they generally stay associated to the solid.

In mastercam standalone you need to do what you do. as the issue you are having is the way it is. much easier in MC4SW.
