Shortcut keys

This is totally weird, I customized my shortcut keys on the new X8 and it has been working like it should for a couple weeks and then all the sudden it goes back to factory settings. I try to go and re set them and the tab to apply the changes is un highlighted making it impossible to make the changes. What happened?

What does your tool bar look like?  Does it have a bunch of double arrows where the icons should be?  I just had all my tool bar icons go kattywampus and I ended up having to reload X8.

Was your workspace file on a network drive that you no longer have the same permission for that you have before? Has IT come in and changed some setting on your computer recently that changed your permissions on certain things?

Yeah it was a permissions issue with the network. Still cant explain why it went back to factory settings but im back running agian.

I really recommend that you keep all personal settings on the local computer.  This would be everything in the "my mcamx8" directory.  I know that if you are using multiple computers this might be a pain but it will avoid issues like this.  Now this is not to say you can't move your machine files and tool libraries to the network, Mastercam has made much progress in this regard and I am more than comfortable doing so.

Also rename them after you tweek them to avoid any updates overwriting default file names.
