Solid Layout

There are 2 different standards to define which way a part is rotated to go from view to view. In X7 it's labeled layout method you can choose between ANSI & DIN. That would be my guess.

Note: Solid layout only works in TOP view so however you model is situated in MCs TOP view is what is being laid out.

Sorry it will work in any WCS, thing is that is only starts in TOP, but if you make a complete WCS system to your part then you can have any WCS for a part supported for your Solid Layout. I like to use the relative inside of the plane manager to make all my standard view. I will also create an ISO view for my WCS when doing Solid layout in Mastercam. Really sucks you can Micky Mouse what you need and the system will do it, but you cannot tell the system to use a WCS to start your Solid Layout process from. I got a number for that going back probably 10 years ago, but oh well just Be Dynamic. :guitar:

I've played with the ANSI & DIN layouts but in both cases the drawing is a mirror image of the solid.

I end up mirroring the layout to respect want I need.

I am using multiple WCS. I'll try translating my solid to the original coor. system to see if that helps.
