ive gotta do some titanium rghing on my latest project.ive gotta go thru about a 1/2 inch thickness.

the width is about 5/8 that has to come off.i was going to use some specially coated carbide cutters I bought but now im thinking of just going with one pass close to the finish diameter at the full depth at a much slower speed and feed like I normally would do in steel.

the part is only about 7 inches long and about 2 in wide.

the mat is titanium that was 3d printed in our laser printer.

this is the 1st job ive done with any quantity to that we have printed.

got any opinions?

Pay me now or pay me later.............................

I am certainly no expert on additive machining but if the material is going to be very close to 6Al-4V I wouldn't replicate steel speeds and feeds, not axial or radial cut depths.  That being said the advice above seems sound to me.
