When seeing a Mastercam seat for sale on ebay, you should inform [email protected] of the fact (I have already done so in this case).

 

They will then take it from there.

A question. If this is his copy and he purchased it and he no longer wants it cant he sell it? If the piracy people determine that he did buy the copy and he wants to sell it he can right?

You don't technically 'own' the software as per the standard EULA (end user licensing agreement). You purchase a license to use it, and that usually isn't transferable by direct sale. Contact your reseller for information.

Had a similar problem recently with one of our parts that was knocked off on ebay, and the shop running the auction actually used pictures from our web site, and our part number. Took ebay 4 days to finally shut it down!!

Wel my only experience and last experience is where i tired to buy a 24" starrett veriners. The guy didnt want a secure check and didnt want to COD it to me at my expense. I told him to stick it up his but either do one or the other he wanted me to send him a cashiers check Yeah right.

 

Crazy Millman teh EBAY good but I still like the face to face method much better.

so if you buy mastercam and decide to sell it you cant? that doesnt sound right. as long as the seller is not making a profit on it (or a business out of it) he should be able to sell it.

You don't buy Mastercam. You are leasing the right to use it. There is nothing to stop

someone from selling a Mastercam dongle, but the buyer is getting screwed.

The buyer will not be able to upgrade the dongle and may have to give it up if MC finds out he's got it.

Its not just a Mastercam thing, its a standard End Users License Agreement.

(the 3 pages of fine print with "I accept " at the end ). You get it on almost any software you install on a computer.
