Overcut

Hello, Guys.

I am new Mastercam user. I start to learn how to make turning. But I do not know why over cut in Z direction. I already leave stock 0.01 INCH.Please see my picture as attached.

Did you select the back wall for the toolpath to follow. If not then you might also have extend cut turned on.

Yes, I selected back wall.

hard to say from that pic, but check your lead in/out page, on the lead out page there is an option to extend and shorten the end of the path, I am thinking perhaps you have it set to extend the end of the contour which could be the culprit.

I think what is happening is that you didnt select the back wall, when you dont do that Mastercam cuts the line but adds the radius of the tool to the end of it.  What you have to do is select your diameter line using chain and the end of the chain should be the back wall.

 

Select your geometry like the yellow one on the pic, making sure to select the back wall too.

Thanks everybady. I have fixed this case. I select OD. Then back wall did not overcut. Thanks!
