2017 hotkeys

I found the menu to change/add hotkeys for different commands, but I want to change the hotkeys for the main menu tabs (home, wireframe, drafting, etc.).  Anybody know if this can be done?

File/Options/Customize Ribbon Bar

 

at the bottom you'll see Keyboard short cuts

 

When in the graphics screen hit ALT.. and bunch of little grey letters will pop up

those are the assigned shortcut keys for that command

 

so ALT F would launch the file command

Yeah I found that but I want to change the main ones.  For example, instead of hitting Alt + W for the wireframe ribbon, I want it to be alt + C (for create, like every other version of mcam I've used), just because that's what I'm used to.

 They aren't available on the keyboard shortcuts.

Can I change the hotkey for wireframe to be a C instead of a W though?  That's what I want to do.

This needs to change.  I cannot accept the keystrokes for "toolpaths" being "alt J M".  That's just ridiculous.

I completely agree.  It seems like the changes they made are far less efficient than x9.

You can rename the Wireframe tab to be Create.  But the hotkey is still W.   Likewise you can create a new tab named Create, but it assigns the hotkey  Y1.   Other new tabs are Y2, Y3, etc.
