Yep, I'm stuck with X2 and it's graphics issues. Any ideas?

As the subject line states I am still using X2 and that is not going to change here at work. So, no need to say the new version is better or you know the new tool paths will pay for itself, yada yada yada.

They day job isn't going to upgrade and I have to make do with what I have.

So, I have had graphics issues with X2 once I moved to Windows 7 and now it's even worse with Windows 10. I am running nice dual monitors and a Quardo 4000 video card.

I have tried all the settings I can find in Mastrercam and in windows. What I am hoping is that someone else has to deal with this and figure a way to fix them. Maybe using a driver for a different monitor or maybe a combination of settings I've never tried?

When I try to zoom I get a million small rectangles inside of rectangles and I can't see what I'm doing. Some times I will zoom in and get what I wanted but another copy of the part zoomed out over the top of it.

You can forget using verify because the screen flashes and you can't make out anything.

Any thoughts on how to fix this without having buy software would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

If you have a 32 bit computer, the max ram you can have in 32 bit world is 4gb max supported by Windows in 32 bit. Now if you have an integrated graphics adapter that draws from the system ram and that was a problem back in Windows XP. I got around it by getting a 2gb Nividia graphics adapter from pricewatch.com a few years ago. That gave more graphics power as well as giving the system back it's full RAM capability. If life was better in XP go back there . I have an old machine that I built about 10 years ago that has a 1gb Nidia in it but is maxed out with 2gb RAM . Running Windows 7 and bring my work sim to run a seat of X7 for emergencies. Not the fastest but no slouch either.

  Windows 10.

There's your problem.

Besides all the reasons not to run Windows 10 that I won't get into here, your OS and your Mastercam installation should be contemporary to each other.  There's no way that CNC Software could have debugged X2 for Win10 since it didn't exist back then, and there's no way Microsoft cares.
