O/T So I got this new computer...

XP Pro, 2.8 P4, 1. gig Ram, DVD Burner...yadayadayada And I am trippin. Going from 2000 Pro to this there is one thing that is just driving me mad. Like alot of you, I have tons of apps runnig at the same time, I am very used to just selecting the darn "desktop" shortcut that used to be directly to the left of the start button. Alas its not there now. Does anyone know that damn shortcut to get to the desktop rather than minimizing 7 different apps?

At the bottom of your toolbar is an icon called Show Desktop. Just click on that baby.

 

XP Pro is great, as long as you have 512MB+ RAM.

There is another shortcut to the desktop that should be right at the tips of your fingers. Windows key and M will minimize all windows.

 

Except that it won't minimize Mastercam if you have a dialog open inside Mastercam

windows key and the 'd' will show the desktop and then restore all the windows if pressed again.

Please refresh my memory. I don't recall ever seeing *anything* to the *left* of the Start button. Do you mean the right?
