I use it allatime. But often it is quicker to hit "M" for midpoint without having to; zoom, rotate etc, to get the exact point on an element that I want. That's why I was asking if there is a shortcut for perpendicular, I have it setup on my RMB-snap flyout, but it would be easier if I had a key.

You can set a custom a key like P for perpendicular just like M for midpoint. Go to customize quick access tool bar and select keyboard shortcut customize tab.

Sometimes snap to perpendicular doesn't create a true 90 degrees angle. Like something such as 89.978 or similar. You can't avoid a small error with floating point operations, but errors in the range of 0.01-0.1 (millimeters) are no small...
