Yes, but a simple 3 axis machine may only need coolant and taping changes.

More axes and parameters need more in-depth mods and logic.

Not necessarily

Mastercam's free library of posts contains about 35posts

Most of the ones I've tried are about 99% good to go right out of the box

They can all be edited to suit your specific needs though
