file name changes

Hi Guys,

Why does my 2018 MasterCam not maintain the same file name thru all the operations?

On 2017 I never had an issue.

When I go to post it wants to make numerous programs because of this.

I now go and highlight all prior to posting and give it name that they all change to but I didn't need to before.

Could it be a setting somewhere?

What are your config setting set to for NC output on the Toolpath Manager page?

 

I use Toolpath group name under NC File. Everyone one of my Toolpath groups have the name I want the NC file to be for that operation. Takes a little discipline upfront to think that far ahead, but when you have a defined process for your programming and follow it for all your jobs then it becomes second nature for your programming process.
