Mastercam crash on start up

Recommended Posts

Could be a number of issues,
there was a Win10 update 1079 Fall Creator that caused all kinds of problems,
could be a <dot> NET Framework update,
are you running dual graphics support (chipset with a graphics card)
are your drivers up to date

have you checked the knowledge base on the Mcam website

I have

ver.1709 (OS build 16299.431)

Windows 10pro,64bit

NVIDIA Quadro M4000

driver version 23.21.13.8816 (10/30/2017)

Last 2 windows updates were fro SQL 2008 and adobe flash.

try moving or renaming your workspace file

save it someplace safe

then launch MC, a fresh workspace file will be written.

launch MC and see if it will launch OK. 

If it does, put your old workspace file back and see if it still launches

Try the same thing with your config file as well.

No idea why this works, but it worked for me

MC appears to be working if I ignore the popup window. I can move the model adjust parameters and even test the tool path. So why is this window popping up is the big question. Its when I attempt to close the Mastercam Crash Reporting window that it closes down MC.Going to try a previous dot.
