Plane/view switching

Hi Guys,

 

I have had a recurring problem with Mcam since maybe the 2017 edition or before, and maybe this has been addressed, but here goes. During "regular" use, I will be programming, doing whatever and my WCS/view will randomly switch to another WCS. For instance, I have several WCS representing multiple operations, OP 1, OP 2, OP 3 etc. I will be working on OP 3 toolpaths, and my WCS will randomly switch to OP 2, or another unrelated view. Has anyone else experienced this? I know personally of at least one other Mcam user experiencing the same problem. Thanks in advance for any tips.

Are you by chance moving the "Red Arrow of Doom"?

 

That can cause things to flip and move

No red arrow. Right now, I am starting fresh with just a simple drill and tap on a single hole with "Top" as my WCS. It has so far flipped to "Back", "Front", and "Trimetric" with no input by me, just random.

I think that looks like my problem, I will mess with those settings. I have multiple of those checked off, that MUST be the source of my grief. I have never accessed that menu before. Thanks for the tip!!

I'm thinking you have Cplane follows Gview checked

Is this a duplicate plane with the same wcs value as another?
