  1. There is a file called "surface invert.mc9" in the main folder on the ftp site.

This is an igs converted file, you'll see that some corner fillets are inverted.

Is there a fix for this situation or do i just have to create new surfaces in all these areas?

  2. yes...i have a different experience every time i use parallel rough....

when used in a cavity i have no problems....when i use to rough a boss/half round shape, i want to rough all 1 side first from out to in, this becomes a struggle

i to would be interested in some advice

  3. can anyone tell me what is causing the following error? how to avoid it? how to work around it?

i can trim to one surface but not the other....then mcam locks up and shuts down

  4. i have a " ati fire gl e1" card...when i went to the ati web site for updated drivers i was redirected to dell.com.....

where can i go to to get updated drivers?

    toolpath = 128000

    please help........i'm getting nothing done

  7. if it's just a one-off you could just cut the whole curve at once using wireframe - ruled

(it will cut air over pockets)

(hit cycle start and walk away)

or create surface from solid - faces, then surface program

or create curves - all edges - solids - faces create surfaces, then surface program

there are a few ways to do this.....hth

  8. at first i thought you(s) were pulling my leg.....but now i think you are serious headscratch.gif

i'm looking for a file converter (translator) that would take japanese dwg files and convert them to english....ala.....file/converters/autodesk/read

  9. i have .dwg files from a customer.....i can translate the files and read dimensions....but the notes and title block are in japanese

does mastercam or solidworks have a japanese translator for dwg files?

    if so....free or how much $$'s ?

i am trying to solve on my end first before i

ask the customer to tweak his settings.
