  1. Shrink should be between 1.018" to 1.022". If there are any fillar's the shrink generally will drop, as well as the shrink will change based on where the part is gated if there are fillars. PP is a very forgiving plastic to mould. If you have really tight tolerances on a specific area, leave material in the tool, mould some samples and then adjust the tool to suit the tolerance and shrink. HTH Scott
  2. Nice link to CIMCO DNC-MAX at the bottom of the page. Remote requestsend, nice features, works like the wind on HAAS machines.
  3. I remember it being 1.025" shrink, however it was for a finished iron cast, not a brass finished cast. Best option is to take a "very near" and measure one of their moulds and a cast from it to work out the shrink. Two foundaries will give you different castings based on their process controls. HTH Scott
  4. Can you post the MC8 file to the server for us to look at?
  5. I would break the Spline into many pieces, ie Modify, Break, Many Pieces, Choose a Small value, like .001 then use the same drag method that you suggested and snap to the endpoints. HTH Scott
  6. Hey Surface, the Giants kicker did the best he could, except for the missed field goals. This is the official rule on the spiking of the ball. "Allen did not have the option of spiking the ball to stop the clock, which only can be done by taking a hand-to-hand snap directly from the center. If Allen had spiked the ball, it would have been a penalty for intentionally grounding the ball and the game would have ended due to a 10-second runoff of the clock."
  7. Looking forward to the Jet's cleaning the Raiders clock. Tampa and San Fran will be an interesting one. ___________________________________________ Giants could start with that AHole of a player that was taunting the SF players pointing at the scoreboard, getting in their face and all. ___________________________________________ Mike Strahan, Giants D.
  8. Bob, you can pick each arc in succession without having to regen each time. Circmill, Mask on Arc, then select the Arcs that you want to use, the system will ask you for a tolerance, then window the part and it will automattically select them all. -------------------------------------------- "You mentioned some other sorting methods, what would those be?" -------------------------------------------- Under "Options" you have 2D Sort, Cross & Rotary Sort. If you don't choose any of these, it will cut them in the order that you are picking them or by the DB order if you window them. HTH Scott [ 01-07-2003, 02:13 PM: Message edited by: Scott Reiner ]
  9. I tried out this file in 9.1 Beta 3, and all of the sorting features work correctly, with the exception of the 2D Sort Point to Point method. Funny.. You may have to regen after you change the sorting method to see the update changes. Looks like if you choose the Point to Point option after you chose one of the other methods, it uses the last option. It also dosen't allow you to choose the starting Circmill position like drilling would. I tried this useing drilling, and it works correctly by asking you for the starting hole for the Point to Point option. Looks like this is not the same for Circmill. 10. Elad, in V9 you can use Change start & end points Dynamically, even if you have one full arc and only want to machine part of it. Try this; Contour, Chain, Partial, select your arc, select end here, then use the Change StartEnd functionality to do what you want. HTH Scott
  11. Two Words: Full Associativity IMHO Regards, Scott
  12. If you need to leave extra material on specific areas, the way that I get around this is to make copies of the surfaces in these areas on a different level andor colour, and then I offset them by the amount that I want to leave on them. By putting them on a different level, I can turn them on or off as I do roughing and then finishing toolpaths. HTH Scott
  13. Nice answer Rick, I should have read your post before, I came to the same answer as you. Ricks suggestion works like the wind. Scott
  14. Create a simple contour with the settings that you want ie depth cuts etc. Then right click on the "Pocket" geometry and drag and drop it onto the new contour. Your options are add or replace. Hope this helps.
  15. davidgil Try Screen, Next menu, Regenerate. This will bring up all entities onto the sceen. I would try this, the next time before I started all over again. Regards
