Hi All,
I have created a new tool bar & added Checkholder chook in that, as it is not available with default mastercam chooks' list in the category.
the icon in the toolbar simply shows "X" symbol.
my question is " can i change this icon & how? "
similar problem i have for silhouette boundary chook.
hope someone can give solutions
thanks..
1. change the face that you want to extrude into surface
2. select solid extrude & select chaining options, check the "allow surface edges in single mode" box
3. use single mode chaining option & select the edges of the surfaces to be extruded.
the edges of the surfaces will behave as a chain for your extrusion
Hi All
I have a problem in setting the value in my "tool length inc" box in the "preferences" dialog of the CHECK HOLDER chook.
I have to set a varialble cutter lengths instead of multiples of a certain number.
for ex. say I have 50mm, 90mm & 120mm lengths of cutters.
can i set variable lengths in the tool inc box.
thanks & regards

Howdy all,
I have a CAM profile for knife edge follower and for that I have generated a toolpath in Mastercam.
For this same "lift & tilt" I have to modify existing CAM profile for flat faced follower & machine that.
Iam able to see the CAM profile for flat faced follower through Mastercam and unable to create a profile using that, If some one interested in this case pls help me
here is a picture which has some lines in red colour created from snapshot option in mastercam toolpath backplotting. this resembles a cam profile and i have to
create a smooth tangential profile from this
please have a look of the part file in mastercam ftp site. ftp://www.ppcadcam.com/Mastercam_forum/MC9_files/H14 (EX)_REV1.MC9
i have details of cam profile only for knife edge follower. (lift & tilt)
thanks in advance
Hi
This uncertainity of negative stocks depends upon the Tool diameters which is used for the pockets...
this can be avoided by increasing the no. of finish passes also.
