  1. QUOTE --------------------- Considering I'll be giving notice soon I guess I'll just leave it and let him fuss about the cycle time. --------------------- s-up with that ?!
  2. Another thing that wasn't mentioned here. With G28 reference point when you specify X0, Y0, or Z0 the little "zero return light" on your control will light up meaning all is good and safe. Now when you use g53 the same way, some controls will not light it up even though the machine is at zero return point. -YUP
  3. I have Jeffs file. After he ran the ramsaver function the problem has seemed to be fixed.
  4. Create arc < circle center point> 20 creat line - origin <> past dia on right ------------(auto curser set to horizontal/vert) ------------(type in 1 in the field for y dim) change level create arc polar (snap to center) -----------------(initial angle - snap to) -----------------(final angle - snap to) once you do this a couple of times you should be able to do it in about 20-30 sec. But who is counting
  5. Create arc polar will give you the option of putting your start and stop point in the place you want it . The rub on this is you will have to have the other geometry to construct your work from.
  6. I have not seen much talk about the parametric sketcher. Has this been developed? (for X_2_MR1)
  7. You can contact me with the pics and I can quote you what it would take for me to process your point cloud. I can also offer you a scanning system for purchase. Eastech resides in Louisville,KY. Rick Curtis Eastech Inc. [email protected]
  8. Hang on people- This sounds like a problem with how you are exporting the file from Solid works environment. There are options atleast in - Solid Edge - and Im sure they must be the same in Works where you can export the simple line and arcs with the file. There should not be any reason to convert splines after you get into the Mastercam format.
  9. I don`T` know if it has been mentioned or not. If you tap on the alt key the one letter key strock functions will show which letter to press to get the command activated.
  10. You might find that a base supplier might have them. MUD or National. Look under the return plate bushing selection. Rick
  11. I am running Home on a sony laptop. I did not have that problem.
  12. Export the needed geometry out of cadkey through the cadl converter. Read it in from File/converter/cadl in MASTERCAM. Is this close to what you need?
  13. I remember there was a topic where some-one was setting there machine to Mill 2 or Mill 1 as needed. Can some-one refresh my mem on how. Thanks in advance
  14. I have good luck with the oxygen cards, have you tried them or have a relative comparison of the two.
  15. I made up covers that were attatched from the inside of the machine. A small window for a visual check. And pray there parents raised them right.
