  1. Matt, I start out every file with a pre-setup file "template". It has everything setup including the WCS. I keep it as a read only on my desktop and then on my first save I then name it and there I go from there.
  2. Wow! You are new here aren't you(_?_)jb(_?_) !
  3. quote: I feel stupid on that one. I just needed to open my eyes. It was right in my face and I still didn't pay attention to it. Hey James?............WAKE UP! lol Call me you stranger.....
  4. oh ........well I guess I stand corrected. I am sorry.
  5. quote: I bet Hardmill's video will show good Birthday Party planning technique. Not just technique! But probably good "graphic _path" to the cake line. Not to mention a DIY of blowin candles.............Lol

  14. quote: For tapping I ALWAYS post out IPR. That way I can change a spindle speed and and not have to calc the new feedrate. Never use to do this but when I started my business I started all new and the new post I now use and fanuc control does this now. At first I thought it was a mistake. Now I prefer it. Just as James said.
  15. Thats wierd I got it and I have gmail.......
  16. Nice thread. Just what the Dr. ordered. Thanks JP for the tip that it even existed. Well, this is nice to have so I have only one post and not have to switch back and forth from the subrep converted to x and my wonderful mpmaster post that I have twiked a little to be JUST like I like it. I tried to get the subrep to look just like my mpmaster version but it always was alot of trial n error and I need the new AI feature and such. Anyways, nice having it all in one package. What I have noticed though is it really works great if you are located over "origin". If you use the WCS. you really have to be careful. the G55 ect. will not post on other lines thats needed. Just the G54 does in the beginning line for each tool. To solve this I would select all ops in that tool group and use the edit common parameters to make all including the transform to the correct planes I wanted even though they all looked great. And made the work zero offset there to -1. Any other number there (0,1,2) is not good that I have found. Now remember I maybe doing something wrong that enables me not to get a good response easier but maybe someone can shed the light. Q. when I have a tool that has many operation in it before going to the next tool. The post will post out each operation over all work offsets. My subrep would post all operations on each offset before going to the next offset. I liked that better because it would cut down on all the movements of the table. Faster maybe too. Is there a way to make it do what I am talking about? Maybe a MPMASTER post edit? Either way I'm happy with it. Just want what I prefer better than just accepting the outcome I get. quote: you'll find a link to a Mastercam file that demonstrates the correct settings. Yes I found that link and the link is dead... Dave can you make it active again. The file is just not on the FTP server any longer. Thanks again everyone. Flipper.
  17. Wow! Hardmill good catch...... I am surprised. Is it like those personalized lic. plates.? Dont they go for review before release.? Lol. Ya I like it. Wish I thought of one like that. Take the one like Flipper? who would use a name like that.......Geeze. Go fig. Oh ya Welcome to the Forum!
