Thanks you are right.
Don't know why it didn't work for me the first time (or I over looked it)but I got that same post to work too that you mentioned (Generic Fadal Format_1 4X Mill.pst). So, then I tried to see what in that post makes it do exactly what it does, I try to do the same in my post but no luck. Its the only thing left to do to this post and I can put it to bed. Thanks Psychomill for the effort. I'm going to give it a good once more. tanks
Hello,
I am updating an old post. Ran it thru the X2 updater, Works great and now I am adding Rigid Tapping that it did not have before. Got it to work just fine. But, there is a code that if I am posting a Rigid tapping cycle a G84.2 (or G74.2 for left hand) needs to be at the beginning of that tool maybe just before the address loc. after spindle on.
This is for a Fadal CNC 32MP, look something like this.(below)
Our other post in our other app's (NX, Gibbs and so on) that we have been using for a while now have this. so I'm not sure if I need it or not. It says in the book its a "Prepare for G84.1" code.
Anyways I cannot seem to get it to Post correctly. What is the key callup codes to make it post. I have studied the generic Fadal post w Ridgid tapping and it works. but without the G84.2 code.
Thanks in advance.............

All is good w the post now making many changes to "Generic Fadal Format_1 4X Mill.pst". There are some places to watch out for. Some mistakes that will screw up you part if u use the generic without the alterations I've made.
Thanks for all your help.
Fadal G8 code. I believe its acceleration, It smooths out the axis movement I think. They would like to see it in the code. So I am trying to include it into my post but, I do not want it in any event but a milling event. No drilling where can I place it.
Thanks ahead of time.
The switches we use at startup. For Solids we use /s right? Well five axis I use X5. not a problem so far. but If I do, do I use up a mill level 3 as well? or not.
Hello everyone,
working in x2 now and for the life of me I cannot remember how to fix the nci file names to match in my operation group to be the same so i don't get the post generating multiple programs. I use to just run ncifix.dll in 9. Please help me. this is a newly installed MC here where i work and i dont have access to the chook old or new ncifix file if that is still the way to do it.
