google "aide pdf to dxf converter". it isn't a great tool but it is useful for some things.

I have it, but I figured it was something inherent with mastercam. Which I guess it would be if it is a problem that came with mastercam. Hopefully it gets fixed because it is a real pain in the arse having to wait for even a right mouse click (up to 2-3 seconds).

I pgm on several dif computers. All of my config's, posts, tool libraries and operations are on a server. I didn't have to do a thing when I installed mr1. Had to double check a few things before I trusted that I did everything right. Otherwise I was up and running almost immediately. -
My mastercam reseller is in the process of getting a group together to go over set-up sheets. He hopefully will be able to make a generic one like the posts that can be modified to include the information that is wanted (and only what is wanted). I will give a heads up when he finally gets it going.

"Force tool change" should put machine in position for the addage of clamps, away from part if you post to a tool change position.

If you are using the roughing option in circle mill, it roughs out at the same dia. as the finish cut but without d-comp. This may also be a reason for holes being too big.

Thanks for the help! We have purchased the handbook and the tutorial and they both look very well written. I'll update how they are perceived by the people using them later.

USING MCX MILL LEVEL 1 SP1 UPDATE 1 I FIND IT MUCH EASIER TO DRAW PARTS AND AM GETTING USED TO THE NEW ICONS. I DO BELIEVE IT WILL IMPROVE EVEN MORE THE MORE I GET USED TO IT. I DO HAVE SOME MINOR PROBS WITH POSTS THAT ARE BEING FIXED NOW. OTHER THAN THAT, I DO LIKE IT BETTER THAN V9.

does anyone know the differences of the mill training tutorial X and the mastercam handbook vol 1 X other than the projects available? are they any better than the books offered at your local community college or are they the same? any input would be appreciated
