Hi, If the tap or tool is HSS we have an acid mixture that disolves the tool and does not touch the stainless steel, if it is in aluminum we put it it the anodizing tank and it will remove it there! John Ford

Hi Brian, If you could do that(put it on the FTP) that would be great! For the others Brian did repair the file so I could use it on the weekend but I would like to find out why it did this for future work. Thank you John Ford

Hi John, It is not following the geometry on the screen, when you chain it and verify it cuts off some of the letters (in half). John

Hi, I am using V9.1 mill and having problems with true font geometry. It sometimes does not follow the correct geometry as shown on the screen. Any ideas? Thank you JOhn Ford

Hi, I am wondering what post i can use on a Hitachi-Seiki with a Seicos MIIIE contrler. For rigid taping it uses G841 and G842. The machine is about 10 years old a VM40II Thank you John Ford Masrecam V9.1, Mill, Lathe, Wire, router, art and Mastercam X

Hi, One of my guys crashed our Daewoo 3016. He was using Mastercam version 9.1 but the tool length offsets posted as H0 for every tool. In the parameter box for each tool the offsets were 0 and the head # was -1 any ideas? There was a 3" facemill in going 500 rpm and it came down on the vise jaws and stalled. The spindle now sounds different. Does anybody have a rough idea how much it will cost to replace the spindle bearings. Thank you

Hi, I am a licenced General Machinist with a Certificate of Aprenticiship and Qualifications. I have extensive background in tool and die making, designing and building custom equipment, prototypes, patern making, welding (ARC, MIG, TIG), and model making! Hi, I am trying to create a tool path from a solid. I only want to do part of it then flip it over to finish. I am using V9.1 The part is tiny .210 wide x .434 long x .140 tall aluminum. Hi, I am enraving a sign (10" x 20" x .062" 304 s.s.) .015" deep. I have tried both 2 and 4 flute solid cabide 1/4" 90 degree chamfer mills. I have been running 3000 rpm, feed rate of 4 and a plunge rate of 2.5. The tip keeps coming of the endmill (it is to a perfect point to start with). I am using a Daewoo DMV 3016L with a Fanuc control and drives. Are my feed and speeds correct? Should I be using highspeed machining? I am running the file as a sub from my flash card. Hi, Yes you can use the Flash card as the data server, I use it for everything. The bad thing is it is located inside the electrical panel. John Ford

Hi, I am using a Fanuc Oi-mb controler on a Daewoo VMC. If I want to use a bunch of sub programs to make up a program can I do the following? G100; M198 P(program#); M198 P(program#); M198 P(program#); G200; M30; I need to do some big files from the compact flash card, they will not fit on the control. Hi Italian' stylin, I have done what you have done in the past, changing parameters, it seems to be hit and miss. I am glad that I am not the only one who this happens to! What tool/cutter to you use for engraving? Thank you John Ford

Hi, Is there a special code to unlock the 9000 series parameters? I enabled the write protection but it will not let me change the 9000 ones, like memory expansion, High Speed Machining etc. It is on a Daewoo DMV 3016L. Thank you John Ford

Hi, I am trying to do some engraving using plastic sign material. I have a word file converted to a DXF file from Corel Draw. When I try to generate the tool path the "estamp" program locks up. I was using Mastercam V9.1 level 3, I just got MasterCamX. I have tried X as well, it locks up there also. Any ideas? Hi, I have been using Corel Draw to convert Text/Word files and BMP to DXF. I have had some lockup problems with the engraving when regenerating the tool path. I have to make a bunch of engraved signs out of 304 S.S. I am using MasterCam Mill V9.1 Level 3. I am getting X this week. Thank you John
