  1. Does anyone have any experience machining Turcite? We are going to be turning a very simple spacer made from this material and it's new to us. Coolant, no coolant, etc....
  2. Shouldn't cause any problems for you I don't think. I always do comparison's between versions just to make sure the post is working the way you expect it too with the newer software. Sometimes when updating the post files, things can change and the resulting code can cause issues. So I have a folder with some files I use and I'll post them out in both versions and then do a comparison. If everything looks good then it should be safe to uninstall the previous version.
  3. Kenneth, I was hoping that MU2 might fix the above mentioned issue but it hasn't. When can I expect a fix for this? This is very disappointing being that it was brought to CNC's attention back in December.
  4. Kenneth, I have sent a zip2go file to the above mentioned email. Thank you.
  5. I've noticed an issue with verify and live tooling on the sub spindle. I'm drilling some face holes and the first hole is fine but after that the tool wants to come thru the back of the part. If I make separate operations for each hole then all is good. I've been told this is a plane issue. Does anyone know when this issue may get fixed? It was never a problem with previous versions.
  6. I while ago I created a custom drill cycle that works for this problem. The problem with the G83 is that yes it will start inside the hole but it's going to rapid into the hole to the "R" position. By creating a custom drill cycle you can work around this.
  7. Hi Mick, My company is looking to purchase a Mazak Integrex or a Multus. As of today we are leaning towards the Multus. Can you give me some feedback on the machine? Was there a specific reason you guys went with Okuma? Any info would be great we need to make a decision in the next week or so. Thanks Jack
  8. My place is looking to get an Integrex next year. Can I ask you what does he use to program it?
  9. Ok thanks. As far as showing chucks, stock, spindles and B axis using gcode the machine software will show all of that no problem then yes? Does it show just wireframe or is it actually a 3d representation?
  10. To the guys who have an Integrex. What kind of verification software are you using? I know that the Mazak has 3D virtual machining software but does that only work when programing using Mazatrol? If I program g code how much detail will we see at the machine when we run the simulation? We were hoping to use Mastercam for everything but right now I'm not positive that Mastercam can thoroughly verify a machine like the Integrex. And the machine simulation doesn’t seem to support mill/turn type of machines at this time. Okuma however offers collision avoidance software for the pc that is free and it’s the same software that runs on the Multus machine and it shows everything and this is becoming a big factor for us in determining which machine to purchase either the Mazak Integrex or the Okuma Multus. Any insight would be very much appreciated.
  11. Daniel thanks for the info. We have no intention of using anything but Mastercam. We have had a Hardinge Q65 which has 2 spindles and does live tooling for years and mastercam does a great job with that machine. My question was more of a machine one as far as issues with spindles and whatnot. Thanks. Jack
