Has anyone ever turned an eccentric on a lathe. The eccentric is turned from bar stock with concentric journal next to the eccentric one. Tolerance is not an issue, the part will be sent out for grinding. I was thinking of using a milling cutter and the c axis to interpolate it.

Yeah the have a chip breaker. They are full form insert. I used three spring passes and 60 angle. It seems to be good but not great. Using a 55 degree pull out angle effect my thread form?

I had tried it a 29 angle but I had the same results. What about rpm?

I am threading with a center. How would I go about adding finishing passes. I didn't know you could do that, I only added spring passes.

Have trouble with chatter on threading stainless 1.1258tpi its tougher grade of stainless not sure exactly what grade not called out on drawing

Just started with a new company which has a Nakamura Tome WT 250 which nobody knows how to utilize. I am trying to find the proper format and codes to transfer from main to sub and quill support function. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Their top gibbs guy has four months exp. with no machining background. I will be their top gibbs err mc guy in the future.

Geometry is a pain to create!!

I am already trying to convince them that MC is the way to go, but they just signed a new contract with gibbs. Pulling my hair out trying to create geometry, the whole program is too vague.

Starting a new job on Monday they only have Gibbs, at least I get to learn a new software, but already I can see how much more powerful MC is than Gibbs.

Make sure the red operation arrow in the operations manager is at the bottom of all operation or else you will see "shadow" of the first side. I use stock flip all the time and usually don't have any problems with it.

Its g code macro for engraving sequential serial numbers on the outside of a 5.5 inch dia tube. Never used a macro before but the forum has been a big help.
