We have a Zoller pretty happy with it when we were looking to get one I looked Zoller, Speroni and Parlec. One of the best investments we have made. If you are going to preset lathe tooling, Zoller was the only one that could do it at that time. -
So far Nitro has worked perfect for me. Really easy to use.

We use liberty tool for our custom tools,I just hoped I could have had something by tomorrow. Never enough warning,of course, needed it yesterday.

Nope it's .481/.499. I think they could have designed with standard tooling in mind but who am I to say.

I heard from them this morning. It is kind of funny I talked to Chicago and they said they don't know of anybody programming that machine in eia, then I talked to the the ae in Kentucky and he said he doesn't know of anybody using that machine with the Mazatrol, he said that it takes longer to cycle using Mazatrol so everyone uses eia. He sent some examples, haven't had a lot of time to look thru them yet. Jeremy, it has a matrix control. If you have any example you are willing to share that would be great. Especially part transfer.

I am looking for a Mazak applications guy or anyone that would be willing to part with a sample eia program for a hyper quadrex 200msy. Lets just say our reseller has been less than helpful with that. They make it sound like everybody uses mazatrol and nobody uses eia. no way that could be the case. Jeff

Yeah, i have noticed that I'm still waiting to hear back i'm sure it will be Monday. Still waiting for him to send an eia program for the machine. What a cluster.

Does anyone know if the matrix controller is capable of using top and bottom turret simultaneously using g122? It's on a hyperquadrex 250. I have a call in to the application guy. But I figure I could find out here before he calls me back. Thanks, Jeff

Thanks, that is what I was hoping to hear. The apps guy said most people use the mazatrol. I think I could write it faster by hand. Didn't seem like much of a time saver to me. Jeff

Well I got an example from our machine seller when I went for a one day class on the mazatrol. However, now my question is how many of you write the program in mazatrol or in eai? Granted I only had one day of training but to me the mazatrol seemed pretty cumbersome and made even the most trivial thing hard to do. Just trying to figure out how common using the Mazatrol was.

Does any one have a sample of a hyper quadrex program that they would be willing to share? Have one sitting on the floor and I would like to at least see a sample program before training. Thanks, Jeff

Does anyone know of a source for drop indicator tips that have a ball mounted on them? I have looked on the internet and came up blank. I know the last place I worked we bought them I just don't know from where.

Thanks for all the input guys. But I guess we are getting the Mazak. I guess he didn't even quote the Nakamura (I think big mistake). So what are you opinions of the mazatrol. I am not at all familiar with mazak. The salesman told the owner you could program the machine using mazatrol, instead of buying a cam solution for the machine.

Ok, I would like to know everyone's opinion and experiences on a mazak hyperquadrex 200msy versus a Nakamura WY-250. Or experiences with either brand good or bad. I have read quite a few bad things about mazaks and good things about nakamuras in general on the forums. The owner wants to get the Mazak I would rather get the nakamura. Alot of the stuff that I have read on the forum was in the off topic and can't find to give to him to read. Thanks, Jeff
