  1. Sure David, that works...but it's a bit tedious to do that for every prog, and redo it every time you adjust an offset or something. The logic of moving it from V9 location escapes me. For the new age of SFP, it seems a crazy idea. With V9, the post picked up the Prog no. from the toolpath and gave the program that name also. If can pick the Prog no out of the NCi, that will save one step.
  2. Is it just me, or are you guys wondering why they took Program number out of the Toolpath para box? Now whenever you regen a tpath, you have to re-enter the number again, then regen again for it to stick - what gives here? Is there a work around to this nonsense?
  3. Yeah Doug, I remember reading about that method, thanks for reminding us. Toast
  4. Hi David, running Computool in Bayswater Nth
  5. How about if you want to sketch a circle (for eg)relative to a point already there,(a circle centre, endpoint, whatever...) you sketch the circle, then hover over the point you want it relative to, hold shift key and move to the axis input area where the values are frozen from where you held shift on - then you just need to change ONE value to get the new entity position fixed.
  6. That said, what is neat tho, is the hide/unhide some functions - i'll be using that more now.
  7. Guys, what do you mean "x+" ...can't see that in customise toolbars???
  8. Spot on Thad, it 'could' be an option to double click delete so that entities go as you select. We cant hold down both mouse buttons to delete en masse anymore either. If you do want to put stuff on new levels in a complex part it takes forever to confirm all the time, or select in sections - too easy that way to move bits you didn't want to. We need to be able to set up a delete, or move levels first, then have the bits move when selected. Blanking works the same - it goes on confirm. Thanks for your input guys.
  9. In V9, if you have a lot of entities in an area, you could work your way in toward the stuff you want by deleting, or changing levels so the items disappear and you can see better - In X, you have to confirm all the time after selecting - any way around that?
  10. Hi David, usually pretty good, has got a good response time and wants to find a solution. On holidays at the mo tho. Got someone else, I suspect in Syd that is helping out - but not sure. At the mo, I'm just using both Versions to get results.
  11. I put the update in seperate directory - just as well b/c I need to use both. High sp. pocketing causes gouges in the update, old 9.1 SP2 was causing pain with WCS, but not the update. Update also will not trim 2 entities in seperate Z heights, but same plane - the 9.1Sp2 will. Has been quite a drama the last few days!
  12. Hi mates! Been using Mcam for about 10 yrs - since V3 I think here in Melbourne. Self employed and going well. MCam has been great to have as a partner all these yrs.
  13. you guys are on it.. Got a Radeon ATI, and usually shading seems to ensure it happens, thanks will try resetting the accel
  14. does anyone experience V9 not recovering from XP going into screensaver mode? I need to shut it down with Task Man, and then it wont start again till rebooting XP - it does start, but then locks up with a white screen.
  15. Thanks guys, there's some good stuff in all that. Should help immensely !
  16. Can anyone explain how to merge a geometry file into another geometry file and direct it to a certain level? This means you can merge 2 or more files into one and keep them all still seperate.
