When I post a file, MC tries to load the MC editor and I get an error that says please insert the disk for the program. MC editor will not work, I have reloaded MC, repaired Windows, repaired MC and even turned the MC editor off. If I had hair I would be pulling it out.
When i try to open a para-solid file my Master Cam will freeze. I have to shut down the computer to exit. this has happened all morning,
first one of the designers now both are sending me programs that kill Master Cam. any ideas?
Thanks
That's what I think also, this machine does not have ballscrew drives it has a rack and drive gear. the rack is spring loaded so "there is no problem with backlash" I have used Master Cam for 12 years or so and the only time I had bad code was my fault, garbage in garbage out. This is a
continual problem, I dont belive the machine can do any better than .020 .025 repeatable.
I also get a mismatch when the head rotates from one side to the other, sometimes as much as .050 but average is around .020 .025. The machine people keep telling me it is Master Cam giving me bad code.
Machine is a Multiax router OSAI controller- using ball tip- material left is from a .500 ball end mill - the undercut is evident on all axis-filter is set 1 to 1- I am cutting foam board so cutter whip should not be a problem especialy with light cuts
Whenever I use leftover or pencil to clean up small radius, I am getting a .010 to .060 under cut. The tool offset is correct, the undercut is
not consistant. The mold finishers are about to linch me because of the extra time and fill.
Any ideas?
If you are going to machine very much try to get some pails of "compound" it's one of the better materials for a Mag fire, just pour several pails on the fire and let it set
SYSTEM M 3 X RETRO FIT ://www.cncauto.com
I replaced 2 of my cnc mills controls with this control one heidenhain one bridgeport. It is a great little control. New cnc students could learn this control in 3 to 5 hrs and run the machine. Something to look at.
Has any one had any experiance with a Multiax L -5 axis router? This one is made in Italy, company is Acimall it has a OSAI process controller. It is a bridge style- X axis is 16 feet Y axis is 24 feet Z is about 10 feet. This is my first router so I am just learning.
The big problem is a Y axis skew error shuts the machine down and there is no way to restart in the middle of a program, so I must repost the remainder of the program and restart. It looks to me like a problem with the Y drive motors not being in sync?
Has any one had a problem like this? I am cutting foam board at around 1200 inches per min, with a 1 in ball end mill.

Taught CNC programing classes on these for several years and have no complaints
Has anyone used the Compare utility and got it to work. I went through the set up and picked the files to compare and it lockes my computer up.
