my computer is:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual
2.41 GHz, 1GB RAM
XP Pro SP3
nVidia GeForce 7600GT
when i use v9.1 everything works well and i can see things nice sharp and clearly. When im using X3, my part flashes and looks like its 'reloading' everytime my autocursor touches it. Because this is happening, there are mary things about my part that i cant even see in detail.
What graphics card should i get asap, or any other recommendations
I was using x2 today between using 9.1 and when i went back to use 9.1 my level manager was only white for each level instead of alternating white and grey. Is there anyway to change that back?
I still use 9.1 also. I have X but just havent really played with it too much. Never got the post finally setup and thats the real reason i dont use it
i cant seem to get my tool to work on both sides of the check surface like it usually does on any other part. The help im getting is working, i just cant get it right. ftp site, mc9 folder, MAC file.
any help is useful, thanks
thanks josh
actually, maybe i wasnt clear with what i wante to accomplish. i was actually trying to surface that face on the backsude that has a slight angle that id have to get with a lollipop. So i was also using that purple solid to represent where my tab would be holding onto the part that i wanted to use as a check surface so my tool wont cut off my tabs. What hardmill suggested worked, but only on one side of the check surfaces. now i need to adjust it some more to get it right. Its always worked so easy, not sure why this one just wont work right yet.
i posted a file on the FTP site under the MC9 folder titled MAC. I've had help with this kind of operation before but this time i cant figure it out to work correctly. Its only the last operation on there that needs some adjusting. Any help and pointers are always appreciated.
Thanks in advance
I finally was able to get onto the windows view of the ftp site and upload a file in the v9 folder called mike help. Im trying to surface the face thats angled inside with a .500 dia lollipop and a .375 shank without making a rapid or cutting vertical and taking a cut out of the surface. i just cant figure it out again even though i've done it before. Another thing, now that i got it on there i cant log back onto the ftp windows view, just the original. Any help is appreciated as always.
I was looking for a thread on how to open up images or pictures in mastercam after formatting them somehow. I couldnt find it, so...is there some way to open up a picture i have in any way to eventually be able to create some 2d geometry just for engraving purposes?
