  1. Yes, I don't want to run the original locations. Just the transformed ops. I was just going to post the transformed ops. Hopefully with a g55. Thanks
  2. BTW, The ops in question are under machine group 2. Thanks
  3. Ok, It is on CADCAM FTP site under the foder named MCX_MR2_or earlier_files filename= TRANSFORMOFFSET.MCX Thanks alot John, Thanks to you too Bryan, But I checked that and the original ops are set to 1 because I wanted G55 and that is what I got before I transformed the ops. Later, Kevin C.
  4. I will try to get it on the FTP right away. Thanks Kevin C.
  5. I am using XMR2 on XP and mpmaster horizontal machine def and post. On horizontal with tombstone I use top WCS and front TCplane for B0 and rotate the tool planes for B axcis output. I had a group of operations that worked like I wanted and output G55 for all of the ops like I wanted but I used Transform translate using coordinate moving the part X 3.125 and Y -1.725 and it comes out just like I wanted rotations and everything it just is using G54.1 P8 instead of just using G55 like before I translated them. Is this Mastercam doing this or the post? Is there any way I can get it to use the same offsets I used before translating?
  6. Yes thanks a bunch guys, analyze dynamic got it. You all are speedy. Kevin C.
  7. Hello all, I have a solid model and I am trying to find out what size the fillet radii are on it. What is the easiest way to do this? I have created curves on all of the edges and tryed to analyze the entity and it didn't work? Is there any easy way to do this on MCX MR2? I am using XP. Thanks a bunch, Kevin Coleman SWPMFG
  8. I did now get on the FTP site and downloaded the stl2surf.dll and I tried it on a real small .stl file I opened with mastercam and it said unknown file type when I ran the stl2surf.dll? Kevin
  9. It works for me. My parts are not real complicated but I could upload one if you tell me how. I just tried to get on the ftp site and couldn't get in. It asked for a username and password for the first time ever. Kevin
  10. Hey guys, Solidworks does a pretty good job of turning them in to a solid. I just export as a Parasolid .XT file then it opens good as a solid in Mastercam XMR2. Kevin C.
  11. XMR2 does have it. Kevin C.
  12. I just upgraded to X2 from XMR2 and I have been doing alot of 4 axis horizontal programming and I am used to using top as my WCS and rotating my T/C plane using front for B0 and back for B180. Now using X2 I go about it the same way and after a while it starts telling me none of my views are saved. Whenever I try to put my T plane back to top it prompts me to save another view. I think there is a simple fix for this but I can't seem to find it. Any help would be great. Thanks Kevin C.
  13. I run XMR2 on a vista dell machine that I just bought and it runs pretty good. I have 2G of ram and a ATI radeon mobility X1400. The only thing I have noticed is sometimes when you mouse over entities it turns them yellow and they stay yellow. Kevin C.
  14. OK I think I figured it out. I re-chained it without using the solid and it worked fine.
  15. Good morning fellowusers, I put a file (TABFAIL) on the FTP under MCX MR2 or older files folder and I am not understanding why it is not putting tabs on this profile? Could it possibly be because I used a solid chain for the profile? I am new to MC and have not used tabs before and I am sure it is something simple I am missing? According to the help file I am doing everything right? I am using XMR2 on windows XP with NVIDIA GE force 6600. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Kevin C.
  16. hmmm, I think I figured it out. When I was changing the tool parameters it wasn't actually regenerating the operations for some reason. I finally got it to regenerate by changing another parameter then it updated the tool stickout length. Kevin C.
  17. Hey guys, I am having a hard time getting my tool holder clearances to change for verify and this tool holder I have keeps ruining my cut part that I am wanting to save as an STL file. It seems like sometime they change and sometimes not? Is ther a known bug or a trick in X to get them to update? I am running XMR2 on windows VISTA. Thanks Kevin C.
  18. If you add them all together doesn't that make it a pain if not impossible to translate them later if neccesary? Kevin C.
  19. Can you select two different solids so when you verify when running two different parts on a tombstone at a time you can see both parts? Thanks Kevin C.
  20. It is a standalone for now. We plan on adding to it later. Kevin C.
  21. It uses HI D2, I went down there this morning and actually fired it up. It also has the M56 H1 D2 in the tool change routine. The machine was bought used. Previous owner must have had it set up that way. Will that hurt anything? If it calls it up in the tool change program then again right after the tool change? Thanks, Kevin C.
  22. It is for the tool management system. I have never used it but I guess it calls up that for every tool then pulls the offsets out of a table in the machine. I think it keeps track of tool life. Thanks alot for all of your help David, Kevin C.
  23. Never mind Guys, I forgot the e$ at the end of the line. That fixed it. Kevin C.
  24. Thanks David, That is exactly what I was looking for. Almost, now it put the right line in it just there is another line connected to the end of it. the line now reads N140 M56 H1 D2 N140 G17 It must have something to do with the way I edited it in wordpad? Thanks a bunch again guys. Now I feel like I am gaining some knowledge that I can give back someday. Kevin C.
