Thanks Thad,
Your right it is to bad. I guess with the
way our region has been hit lately, most
people are just concerned about keeping their
job and/or finding a second part time job to
make ends meet. Maybe something will start up
from this forum.
Dave
Thanks Thad
Yes I have been to those in the past. I was
kind of referring to a group that meets more
regularly and discusses ideas and machining
stratigies. The Axsys meetings are more
showing new functionality of the current
release and to boost seat sales.

I attended a Mastercam User Group meeting in Janurary.. at the meeting they said X4 will be released in the 2nd quarter of 2009..
Off subject but I was just wondering if anyone
had a user group going on in Michigan.
Thanks
We also are a woodworking facility. However
we machine components for industrial packaging
and shipping. We have Onsrud and Biesse routers.
Been programing since V7. If I can help in anyway
let me know.
Thanks,
Dave
Ployd,
We have a couple of different routers at our
shop and I have notice this before on our 3 axis
Onsrud. I changed in the toolpath parameters from
roll around all corners to none. This seem to
help and I was able to hold the same feed rates.
I don't know if this is the proper fix but it
help me.
Hope this helps
Dave
We cut 3/4 ply everyday, but normally with a larger tool. However with a 1/4 non coated we
can run 150-200IPM at 18000 rpms taking a full
radial and axial cut.
Usaully, you will want your blade to be adjusted to about a 1/8 above the material you are cutting. This will help with safety and will provide a cleaner cut. When the blade is adjusted
higher than the full tooth of the blade above
the material it sometimes will leave score marks
or burn marks on the edge of the material.
You also might want to use a 60 tooth blade. This will provide a better finish with plywood,
especially with your cross cuts.
