When I post transformed ops I get an error message that makes some reference to the NCI file. I haven't checked if the G code is a problem yet and can't until morning. It may not be any drama but it is off putting. Can't give exact wording of error again until morning. Haven't noticed before until X6 Mu2.
Thanks Gary
There is a tick box for inremental or absolute programing in machine definitions. When I tick it my posts still give me absolute output, I would like to get incremental output but dont no how?
Can anyone help.

What is stock model all about, I have seen it mentioned in press for X6. I am hoping for something that reduces air cutting in a variety of tool paths, as well as models that can be used for subsequent operations in verify that are not saved stl files.
kind regards
Gary
we have a machine drawn in solid works and saved as an stl! how did u load the stl into the simulator? as all the simulation files have .xml file extension.
We went with KM over capto, when we looked at capto with smaller boring bars the solution was a side lock holder and standard bars, at the time from 16mm shank down to 10mm shank, km offer integral km tools, if you put a standard boring bar in the holder the overhang kills you, unless you pay for anti vibration bars. I cant fault the km although we are restricted to kennametal u drills but we can live with it.

I have wanted to do this before and have posted the question before, and my understanding is you
cant toolpath trim in multiple planes or more to the point more than one, you can trim more than
once in the same plane.

We tried the higher resolution no success, we have mastercam on other computers but we use the laptops at the machines for program fine tuning by the operator and a monitor wont fit, may have to get laptop with bigger screen, although apart from this machine def problem the laptop is fine.
Thanks for the suggestions.

The machine definition dialouge box when displayed on our 14" screen laptop, does not allow the tick cancel and close icons at the bottom of the screen to be seen, so when we change a setting eg CW or CCW for the 4th axis we cant click to accept the change. We cant move or shrink this box in any of the usual ways. Does anyone have a solution?

The SPINDLE-SPEED-MAX is listed in the mill glossary but not lathe, I was looking in lathe since it is my lathe set up sheet I am working on. Is SPINDLE-SPEED-MAX a mill only string. I want my report to display the governed speed for a particular operation.
thanks
Gary
When we select a machine or start a new machine group we get the error file not found. We have changed some of the file paths in machine definition to relate to specific machines, but we cant see anything wrong there. It happens on any machine definition including default (which was left alone),which makes me feel its in configuration somewhere. This is on X5, error message asside we can then proceed as normal.

When I save a tool to my libruary in toolpath parameters I used to get a prompt saying a simular tool exists and do I want to overright or duplicate, now it just duplicates without asking so every time I click save to libruary it duplicates my selected tool.Since I often make changes to a paticular tool that I want to update and not have duplicates, I need this prompt dialouge back.I went back to X4 mu3 it doesnt prompt there either (I only updated to X4 mu3 a few weeks ago and hadnt noticed and now have X5).After posting this I am going back to check X3 to see if it prompts or I really do have Altzhiemers.
