I am trying to profile a face groove using a groove insert, also using groove tool path. I need to use the lead in and lead out but it is greyed out. Is there a way to activate this or do I just make edits to the prog?
Thanks
John,
I use the Analyze-Distance all the time with no problem, but I will have to reprogram this part the same as last time so I guess well see if it hapens again.

I have had this happen 3 or 4 times now, I will have a program almost done and use the analyze-distance and it wont let me green check out of it. I can drag it around and thats it. I dont have the prog. saved and the last time this hapened I had to Ctrl-Alt-Delete it and lost everything.
Could this be a bug or am I doin something wrong?
Ok, Im getting a little closer. I have the tool drawn with the corect colors, in a seperate level, and saved it in the tool library. I have reselected the new tool regenerated it, and I dont see my tool or stock removed when I backplot it.
This is what I want but with a 25deg insert instead of 35deg
I have never used custom tool before, thought maybe someone could give some step by step.
Thanks Paul
Is there a way to changed the geometry on a 35 deg. insert? Im doing face work on a mold with custom ground tools and would like to change a 35 deg. insert to 25 deg. in MC. Or am I going to have to select a differant tool and lie to it like I usualy do?
