If you're doing a fair amount of different part configurations, Robotmaster (cam software for robots) may save you a lot of time/headaches.
so if you put (5/4)+1 it would work?
since you all are using 64bit systems I'm wondering if it's either a storage issue of floating point values, or the calculation parameters itself
Lee: I completely read his post wrong and carried over "programs" idea and "herky jerky motion" - Of course he's talking about the machine and not his program, thanks.
The dimension multi-edit dialog box offers graphical example of what each parameter is changing to the dimensioning, leaving out the guess work and the need to regen what's in your graphical area when changing parameters until you hit apply - When clicking apply, the box minimizes and the changes become apparent.

Also keep in mind that we don't all have fresh installs. Mine is pretty recent, and I have my laptop set up to crunch - Still don't think I should be smoking some of your workstations

I have one PC that will run V9 on Vista another that is a definate NO-GO. Tried all my trick and nothing. It opens and thats it DOA. Possibly a mouse conflict with the way V9 continualy parses the mouse for movement Version 9 may appear to start fine, although considering it is not compatible/supported with Vista, I would worry that functionality may be compromised, and you're better running it on XP, or using X
From my understanding the Quaddro 560fx has 128mb .. maybe it's the 570?
I have a 7900 gt at home, and no complaints, however I believe the quaddro series makes better use of system resources in a workstation type processing environment
I'll let users chime in here, but:
I'm not sure Robot "Mating" is currently supported, we're still figuring out how robots mate in an industrial habitat
/bad humor - (subject line)
In the top lefthand corner of Verify Options, there's a section called "Shape", with radio buttons. Change this to File - It's easy to miss if this is the case
I know this has been brought up in the past and again in another active thread. To do some processing time benchmarks. Anyone who is willing I have selected one of the default sample files. This is a default sample file but it is only there if you have installed the sample files from disk #2. Maybe someone can post it on the ftp? I have problems uploading.
1. Open: C:mcamxmcxmillsamplesinchhigh speedHST-CORE-HORIZONTAL-RASTER.MCX
2. There are three operations in this file, they all have the filter set to off, with a total tolerance of .001".
3. Set the Total Tolerance to .0001" on all three operations.
4. Select all
5. Regenerate
6. Please post:
Time to process
laptop/desktop
CPU & speed
Operation System
RAM & RAM speed
I think this will be a useful tool for those looking at purchasing a new workstation. Also, if you have a pc that is older please test this also, it will give an idea to others with similar configurations on how much time can be saved by getting a new pc (may help with justification for new pc?).
Thank you
