  1. Don't get me wrong, I think MC is a great program, I'm enjoying learning how to use it. In the past I have used many different software's so it is intresting to see how some excell at some things and others excell at other things. I am on maintenance, and look forward to seeing things get even better. I am originally from Windsor ON. we moved out here 2 years ago, as you probably guessed I work in the oil field sector, very much different from the automotive sector (molds and dies). Regards, Greg
  2. Sweet!! Thanks! Keep the post comming! Greg
  3. Hi, I was looking at the MCX2 pamphlet for the mill, and I thought my MC model doesn't look nearly as good as the one in the pamphlet. I played with the shading settings and it got better but not as good. What settings would make my models look like the ones in the pamphlet? What settings do you use? I just want MC to look the best it can. Greg
  4. Hi, After reading all this, why can't MC load the file and other software's can? At my last shop we used PowerMill and Lemoine and both would load up a STL file in less then in a few seconds. Why can MC do this? What are they missing? Just wondering Greg
  5. Hi, If you haven't purchaced HSM in the Haas controler you can turn on the HSM option for a trial period, just put a 1 in the parameter and it will work for a limited number of hours. Also, I work on a Deckel Maho 104V Linear, it can fly! I can finish at 275 ipm, I haven't tried any faster...yet, but I am sure it can go much faster. It has a Heidenhain iTNC530 control. Greg
  6. Hi, It all depends on what part your machining and what machine you are using. If you are machining a block and you want to call each side of the block 0,90,180 & 270 each offset will have the same "B" value. Mastercam post the angle in the program and it will rotate to the side called. That's how I do it. Greg [ 11-12-2007, 12:46 PM: Message edited by: Greg_J ]
