Up and running on MU1, I did get an error initially when running verify for the first time (Invalid or corrupt file) on each tool but the error went away after I finished verification. Other than that no problems.

I'm running XP Pro SP2, everything seems to run good in MU1, I initially got the "Invalid or corrupt file" error when I went to run verify on the first file I opened, but it went away after verify was done. (The source was initially a MC9 file, don't know if that matters)

Ok Ron thanks, I'll give it a try, keep me in mind if you need a beta tester.

Ernie,
I have downloaded a copy of the Verisurf for testing, will it work on X3? I haven't tried to install it yet.

We have 6 Haas VF4's and VF6's combined along with 2 VF6 trunnions and 1/2 dozen Haas rotary tables, some as old as 10 years. We call them disposable mills, run them hard, keep the maintenance up, then sell them off or ship them to a low cost region. These machines have had very little down time over the course of owning them. The biggest problem we had had with these machines are inexperienced operators crashing them, otherwise they have been well worth the money spent over the last decade.

Yeah I have been using that fix after being shown by a co-worker. I was previously using X2MR2 which seemed to be fairly stable, didn't have alot of sucess with X2MR2SP1 so I stopped using itdue to constant crashes. The person in charge of our Mastercam upgrades was bound and determined to upgrade all seats to X3 even though I had concerns about it being buggy, luckily the auto highlight issue has been the biggest problem.
Thanks for your help

Glad to hear I'm not the only one having problems with auto highlighting geometry, I didn't know it was an X3 bug but suspected as much

Our company has 2 shops in "lost cost regions" where the labor is dirt cheap. This maximizes the profits our company make because the customer still pays the same price for the products. The biggest issues besides eliminating American jobs is quality, low cost regions= poor quality. We spend more time and money reworking parts from these areas than we would have spent making the parts here in the US to begin with. Meanwhile, as this practice continues week by week, the bottom line to me is that these lost cost regions are not helping me pay an American mortgage on American soil, these are helping to eliminate American jobs beacause some else is will to do the work for less money.
Proud to live and work in the US

Ths semiconductor industry out here in is dead slow, we have went from 800 down to 600 people in the last 6 months. Not looking good for next year either. Hopefully the new prez will make things better.
