Hi guys, I recently got a base plate model that came in 100% Spline Wireframe. So every hole I need to drill has no useful selectable geometry. I googled converting splines to arcs and found a video by "GiangTheTool"(what a surprise the guy has a mcam video for everything) he shows how to use the toolpath generated with certain settings and backplot you can save your toolpath geometry. My problem is that I cannot get my Arc Filter / Tolerance setting to give me smooth Arcs from my toolpath It just keeps converting to tiny line segments. So If you guys have any good techniques for converting splines to arcs or how to control Arc Filter / Tolerance to output mostly Arcs I would love to hear it! Btw all the holes in my part are under 1/2 inch diameter. Please help me

When creating stock models for programs i was wondering if there was a way to convert them into other files directly to use for cmm purposes per op instead of working off the model in mastercam and comparing to the final part in the cmm program. (cmm program camio 8.5 files it accepts for the model are .sab .hsf .sat .igs and .stp)

Hi guys, Its been a while. I am stumped right now trying to convert a numeric string variable into a variable so that I may use it in an argument. stoolusedes2 = brksps(16, stoolusedes1) # Break string *stoolusedes2, e$ This posts out the following string: .1875 This is correct. This value is from the end of the string. I would like to do this: emasbb = value (stoolusedes2) But how do I do this. I know about no2str, I'm just trying to do this in reverse and convert the string into something I can use. Thanx

I typically wouldn't ask .... but can someone convert a customer supplied MCX file to DXF file for me. I'm an ex-MasterCAM user, then an AlphaCAM user at a wood shop ... and now back to metal and at a EdgeCAM shop. *Woot*Woot* ... right? I tried explaining to the customer via email how to convert their MCX file to DXF for us with no luck :-) So can someone just open the attached file and export out a DXF for me? Thanks in advance!
