  1. havn't done this in a while and i can't seem to remmebr how??? please help a dimb sh... here
  2. "roll" the part?? right now depressing the middle button on my mouse just enlarges and makes my part smaller. *I have seen other people make the part roll around. Think i got to turn something on. TIA guys.

  4. when selecting entities, weather to delete, change levels or whatever mine turn to yellow. Is it possible to chasnge that colour??? my tired eyes find yellow diffucly to see somtimes. TIA.
  5. when you type in the job Diameter in the rotary axis control box is there a way that stays in there for the next tools?? i have 13 tools going and each time i re enter the same number, just seems like there might be a way for that number to stay there until that program is done. i do cut and paste that number in each time but would be good if that number would just saty till i am finished this program. TIA.

  7. seems like long ago i was showen how to produce and print out a program report. never had a real need to before now an d for the life of me i can't find my notes from back then or find the right "buttons" TIA
  8. I bring in the SW solid model inot MC all the time and I rotate, Translate or whatever the solid model all the time in MC. When you open it in MC go to options and check the trimed surfaced box. however i do wonder what i loose by doing this. I also dodn't have solids and not sure what i am leaving on the table by not having it. Reading this thread with interest. Boss has offered

  10. Carbide end mill coz that is what i have and Materlial 303 SS. Oh and the finish depth is just .002
  11. i have got this really tiny job so wondering if anyone got any ideas as to RPM and feed. .004 Endmill going around a .32 dia on the 4th axis. Am thinking i have got 25000 RPM avaliable to me.

  14. the names seem to be right. have posted both operations seperatly and thye both look like similar names, both operations also post separtly just fine. oh heck and it is actualy Wendsday lol still got the problem, about to just start again and see wot shakes.
  15. have writen a very simple program with just two tools. but when i post the program the second toll gets left out. Both operations on the operation box are checked. at the time i click on the "NC" box the second operation becomes unchecked. Any ideas what i am doing wrong here??
  16. drills i got here (left overs from another job) are Sphinx .52 mm carbide. Think thay came from SPI. Anyway will give them a go since they already here. guess i will start at 8000 rpm and 3 IPM see how that goes. Just been told that "as little as possible inside burr please" lol see how that goes lol
  17. i have got both .02 ball endmill or carbide .02 drill. Think my max rpm is 23 000 (robodrill)
  18. so i need to drill about 1000 .020 dia. holes through some 316 S.S tubing. Wall thickness is .025 and i need to go through the wall. Anyone got any ideas of feeds and speeds??? would love to get all the holes done in just one drill but not sure that will happen. Thanks in advance folks.

  20. if you go to that site usung the second posted link and entering Shop leader in the key words section you will see the job requirements. Pay is very secretive around here but am told we are very competive with the outside world.

  22. the job is still open, when i put that direct link in it comes up as filled. nave no idea why but it does. anyway bottom line is it is still open i promise. Gore has two campuses on each side of Falgstaff. and two "main" shops, one for each campus. Also we have several smaller "satellite" shops. this job is for one of the smaller satellite shops. Is out newest shop with all new equipment about 5 years old. And yes would rather not have to work at all but since i got to I can't think of a better place to work than here. The job is here in flagstaff at 7000 feet so no escaping the snow here.
