roger ok i was playing around with the different c-hooks and now multi arc edit wont work mastercam is only open once, no solids on the screen just some 2d wireframe no restart of computer but i was regen some big toolpaths earlier mcx crashed (slow computer), reopened it and started messing around with the c-hooks and now i get the error

murray here is what i can tell you so far (my computer is slow still waiting on regen) i copied the top wcs (work off 0) and gave it a origin of x0 y6.69 z0.0 work offset 1. in translate i set it to between views. i took out the work offsets in the ops the problem is in your post if you look at mi1 (G53=0 G54=1 etc)-not used it tells you that mi1 is not used i looked for if mi1=1 force wcs in the post and cant find it you need to have work offsets built in i tried one of my posts and i get G54 i'm still waiting to see if i get G55 i hope this makes some sense and as the file ext you are getting i'm lost i dont get that well mastercam just crashed so i cant tell ya about the G55

in your translate tab how do you have it setup? between views? did you try a new wcs for part#2? if you can zip2go it to me and i will take a quick look at it for ya

murray are you setting the work offsets in the planes tab? do you have the work offsets set in the wcs? check misc interger #9 lock on first wcs? work offset numbers -1 G54 default, 0=G54 1=G55 2=G56 etc. check to see if you have them setup right HTH

roger its working for me today. i restarted my computer and started with a fresh mcx session and it works. when it didnt work i had mcx open 2x. i selected the arcs as prompted when i hit the green ok icon or enter i got the errors. i dont know if its because of the first time using it in the system or lack of memory (i regen some toolpaths earlier) i have the same version of the dll you have and using x3 HTH

when mastercam x came out i took the steaming teacher online class (v9.1 to x) its was helpful and you can work at your own pace

i wonder what the import solid (converter) tolerance is set at?

there is a feature in wire that will connect the lines for you, if i remember right its auto sync rails. i dont have mcx in front of me but its worth a try. i think what simtech is doing is project a 2d contour to a plane. i wonder how that solid was drawn up that you have these problems?
