  1. Hello Everyone, Thanks in Advance for you opinion and input I have be using Master Cam since version 6.0. you think I should know by now what is purpose of Tool path group, but i like to get opinion of all the other experince programmer out there. I have been making a tool path group for every machine setup up untill last week. and it was easy for me to see and move my cuts around within a machining opp. but now my company want to standradize how we program in Master Cam. All other programmer in here move from Geo Path. what they like to do is create a tool path group for every single Tool, does not matter if you have only one cut for that tool and name that tool group as your tool number and tool name, so i have to do the same method. i just finish a program with over 60 tools and over 200 cuts. it took me a lot longer to program than it ussaly does. i find it realy hard to program, find and move my cuts around. i have attached a snap shot. please feel free to add your method and opinion of best way to use these tool path group Thanks once more
  2. i have finally start using X6. as i was afraid of all the new bugs. it is simple 3d flow line tool path worked fine in X5. Please check 1st and 4th cuts in attached file. i have re-chained and re-gen these cuts to try to fix it. but nothing is working MASTER CRAP.MCX-6
  3. This what i do for soft jaws. custom made shoulder bolts and t-slot jaws
  4. I'm trying to merge MCX-5 file with multiple solid (fixture, clamp, etc). All these solid were design in inventor, so in Mastercam there is no chain attached to these solid. It used to work fine in X4. and it still work in X4. only problem is with X5. I have 9 diffrent PC with X5 all have the same problem. and also it is not just one MCX file it is with all MCX files with solid.
  5. sorry guys, did some search and find other user with similar problem but no solution. seems likes this is another one of those mastercam bugs that will never get fixed.
  6. I m getting this error when i try to merge one MCX-5 file into another with solid. Any body else having this issue. Is there any work around or fix for this problem.
  7. There is machine parameter that you can change to avoid dog leg move in rapid. i just can't remember parameter #.
  8. we have Makino cell system. At the end of a program run, i want spindle to be empty. some thing like this O0001 N10 T1M6 T2 G54 X.Y. S1000M3 . . . G0G91G28Z0M5 M1 N20 T2M6 T1 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>(I want to force "T0" at this point) G54X.Y. S1000M3 . . . G0G91G28Z0M5 M1 M6 M30
  9. yes, i have used post debugger in past. i just need little direction
  10. i m using MPmaster post for X4. Post stage last tool as first tool in program. is there a way to force last tool as T0

  13. I just install MU3 over MU1. it was running fine, but then i try to open Inventor 2010. Instead of opening Inventor, Master cam installation window pop up saying configuring Master cam X4, after few seconds it give me three option "cancel" "retry" "ignore". I ignore the massage, and Inventor finally open itself. but next time i open the Master Cam it give me some error message with "Red X" saying "can not find entry point for mccore.dll during start up" I have same problem on three other PC. after i install MU3. Is any body else having the same problem. Is there any new MU for that bug Window-XP, X4-MU3, Inventor 2010
  14. I been having the same problem (X4 mu1) in verify when try to use STL files. Same STL work fine in X4. so i guess it is another X4 MR1 bug. X4 MR1 will crash or freeze when try to use STL with muliple solid. That is one more ression not to upgrade to MR1
  15. Haas has a custom couterbore cycle G13, which is good for tight tolerance holes. My old shop had there post modifed to out put G13 for circular move
  16. +1 I guess that Is another master bug in master cam. The whole idea for this tree style dialog was to save time, but it takes even longer. if u want to change from one tool path type to another all your parameter will change including the tool and tool plane. once you set those you have to close the window and come back to pick linking parameter.
  17. Ron, How many times mastercam crash when you do the veriy that way, i have tried it on three diffrent times on diffrent file. all i got was fatal simulation error with master cam crash. i don t know if you are using future master cam x10
  18. Trim toolpath is way to go. it might take couple of tries. you can use mastercam help to guide you
  19. I m runing X4 on Vista. I m not able to see any screen shot in my setup sheet. I tried sample file same thing there. Is any body else have the same issue. Kool
