  1. project a line onto surfaces or solid always works best for me
  2. Why do you want to use the MC editor instead of Cimco?
  3. I am using HST core roughing to rough an Inconel part. My feed is set to 4.8 IPM and my retract is set to 100. IPM. On the steep/shallow page I am set to .005 for min and max. The path it is giving me a feed rate retract (4.8) all the way to Z.6301 at every pass. Is there a switch that I am missing or is this a bug. Rapid retract is set. Full vertical retract is set. Z clearance is set to .125 (not .6301) Thanks in advance.
  4. Thanks, how high can I safely set my filter? I have it at 1:1 and .002 total. I am only roughing- leaving .015 stock.
  5. Chain it in the direction that you want it to go. And change your comp to right side.
  6. Is there a way to turn off the XZ and YZ arc into each cut in 2d core mill. It is off the part and it eats a bunch of code. thanks
  7. I have a puma 240 and I have to slow my feed down to about 10ipm to contour anything on more than a 4in dia. A little better if you go smaller, but not much.
  8. What is the best way to define a back turn boring bar. Is there a tool that I can modify, or do I need to draw it.
  9. Is Mastercam planning on coming out with any Baxis contour toolpaths with up coming versions?
  10. Has anyone been able to do any turning work with B- axis moving on a mill turn machine. I have a deep groove , front wall is straight, back wall is a 45 degree angle that the groover can not get to normal to the od(B at 90). I can rough the groove with 3 tool paths (B at 90,60, and 45), but I want to finish the groove in one motion. I am running X4 Thanks. This is my first post.
